Who said fashion had to be expensive?

I am a fashion enthusiast. Ever since I was young I would miss and match my clothing trying to find that right combination. Over the years I had been struggling to find a look that really fit my personality, but I was never successful. And to add insult to injury, many of my clothes were hand me downs from my cousins. So, I was always forced to wear clothes that my cousins liked instead of finding my own style. Everyone knows that awkward middle school phase where you don't really know what your doing and your just an awkward mess. Well, my 8th-grade year was the epitome of cringe-y. So, I decided that in high school, I would come back with a fashion vengeance and redeem myself. But, as I started shopping at the mall I realized how expensive brand new clothing was. I was astonished that buying 5 items could cost like $60 +. Perplexed, I wondered how I could revamp my wardrobe without breaking the bank. Then, I recalled a time in my homeschool cooperative, where my teacher would take me and my 3 classmates to the thrift store to pick out clothing items and then restyle them later in a sort of Home Ec class. So, I decided that I would try this "thrift shopping" idea out again because I truly had nothing to lose. After finding clothes that I could see myself reinventing by using my sewing machine or with just a few short snips with a scissor, I WAS HOOKED! I also could not believe how many clothing items I would get for such a little price. Soon, I was able to come into my own sense of style and with the added bonus of saving some coins. I have received many compliments on my outfits and decided that I would join Steemit and share my outfits you all. Also, I know that not everyone will like my outfits, but I do encourage you to try shopping at the thrift stores or finding a good bargain.
