I just want to share this guys to all the fathers here in steemit community and to all the fathers around the world.
This message is written a friend of mine whose name is Sharon Reyes.
A rare story to be told just at once... and here it goes…
When I was young, my friends asked me if it was sad growing up without one (a father). And my usual responds with them was --- I don't feel anything. It's probably like being born without a limb. You can't miss what you've never had. I never felt the pain of a missing father. I felt nothing. I made a detour inside me that wanted a father. I didn't think I needed to be vulnerable, held, or carried. But now that I've grown up, I could say, 'It was sad' --- because I can never know what it's like to have a father. I don't have to lie, that at times, I am dreading on the day that celebrates all the hard work and dedication, love and support that father's give their children, because I was never given such things. And to some, that is understandably, impossible to ignore.
I did have other people in my life that gladly filled that hole and missing part inside of me. It reminds me that family isn't always about the group of people you were born into, but a group of loved ones you have found who care for you and support you and become your people. I let them becoming father figure in my life, know how much I cherish them and how thankful I am, that, when I didn't have a father to turn to, they were there. They may not be related to me and didn't raise me, but they were instrumental in reminding me that there are good men in the world; men who value and respect women, protect their families in times of hardships, and who strive to raise their children to be respectful.
So, for all the fathers out there who are leading, loving, and supporting your family. May you continue to love harder, even if it costs you everything you have. You are making difference, the kind that lasts into eternity. You are the source of strength and support, encouragement and forgiveness and deserved to be honoured for all you have done, all you do, and all that you are. To my mother, thank you for being a mother and a father to me. I see all the ways of your sacrifices, patience, and all the hard works that you have done for us. You deserve the recognition on a day that may not necessarily be designed specifically for you, because you did a job that isn't necessarily designed to be carried out by you, alone. Words are not enough to say anything, but "Thank you".
And much word to say, for all those who have fathers, stand at your feet and say, "Thank you". And for those of us without earthly fathers, know that there is God who is a "father to the fatherless". And a pretty good one at that! 😁😜😛😍 HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!. ❤💚💛💜💙 #happyfathersday
