We live in a world were we have been taught to be afraid to fail. School days are full of fears of not doing well, not passing a test or getting the grade needed to get to the University you want. But what if that is backwards?
By failing we learn so much more than only memorizing and staying on the road more travelled. When we worry so much about failing and we don't take action, we will never find out if it was better than we ever thought it would have been.
Fear is natural; we have an internal biological mechanism that creates fear to keep you safe. It kept us safe from that bear in the woods, but we don't all live in the forest anymore. So that mechanism is not useful like it was 100's of years ago. But it does keep you from getting out of your box, it talks you out of going on that vacation that you have wanted to go on for years because of one fear of something that may not even happen.
Of course there are times you need to listen to your fear, but make sure you are not creating situations in your head that are not real. How many times have you kicked yourself in the ass because you didn't do something that could have been great but a great sense of fear of something going wrong stopped you from doing it.
Why not act and then fail and then learn? Letting fear control us can make life more difficult than abundant. When we let fear control us, we lose so much more than what we are keeping safe. If it is something you want to do or try even if you are not good at it , do it. The more you do it the more you may fail and the more you get awesome at it. The old saying of "Practice makes perfect" is true but we are so afraid of not being good at the start that we don't even try to get to the good part.
Fear the Failure to Act Not the Failure Itself. Act out of inspiration and don't let others talk you out of it. They are talking with their fear and with their experiences. Just because they couldn't do it doesn't me you can't. Growing only comes from doing and many failures along the way. Go for it. Enjoy life and all its ups and downs. And never stop.
