February Is Here
It's February! Where did the time go? Already the first month of 2025 is done and gone. It's amazing really. In my experience, once February arrives, if you blink, it will be spring time. (I've been blinking all morning and it's still winter, sadly).
We had a beautiful day here yesterday - a little chilly, but sunny. I like it when it's sunny. I had an extensive walk yesterday to take advantage of that. I've also upped the intensity of the exercise now as I'm getting fitter. This month I probably will be graduating to a little jogging as well :)
Talking of which, I've noticed way fewer people running every day. In the beginning of the month the roads were full of new year resolution runners. Most people fail by the first week of January to try again a year later :). The gyms are the same. I don't go to the gym but I can see one near my neighbourhood. The queues visible in the beginning of last month have now completely vanished 😂
With most goals in life, consistency is key. Most people go at it too hard in the beginning and burn out because they are unable to sustain the intensity. The trick is to find a comfortable place to begin and work on consistency. Once you have the habit, which usually takes 21-30 days, then you can up the intensity to improve the gains. You also don't burn out this way. It may take 10 months to achieve a goal, weight loss say, instead of 5 months at a higher intensity, but it is more sustainable and will more likely be maintained going forward. Besides, those 10 months will pass by anyway, whether one likes it or not.

Any work if we do it regularly then we see its benefits so it's good that every month people do body speed in this program.
