Ans: pigs eat a lot feed ranging from concentrates (formulated feeds) to other forms of local feeds. Feeds can be compounded for pigs using a good formula and can be categorized into weaners feeds, growers feed and feeds for mature pigs. Local feeds that can be served them include brewery waste, palm kernel cake (P K C), dry cassava peels, maize charts, sludge etc. Kitchen remnants can also be served them especially when you are dealing with small number of pigs. Two or more local feeds can also be mixed together.
