This morning I was reading an article on feminism and found the author's perspective to be enlightening, because it addresses some of the underlying presuppositions and assumptions that are used to support many feminist arguments for political and societal changes. Assumptions that aren't really based on fact. Here's a quote that shows the article's essence:
"We are bombarded daily by stories about affirmative action, women's rights, women's empowerment, women's initiatives, women's organizations, women's events, women's shelters, women's marches, women's safe spaces... all these political claims are based on one single foundation: the victimization of women, which is widely taken for granted. But does the victimhood Feminism proffers actually exist?"
A question none dare ask, much less answer.
