It is hard to imagine living a life where you think that half the population of the earth needs to be exterminated, yet, apparently, that is what many feminists believe, including Ms. Oluo. Narcissistic is not a strong enough term for someone who firmly believes that only one gender is worth having. Ironically I know of no men who feel the same way about women, and almost no women who feel that way either. Is sexual assault a problem in this country? Of course it is. Any sexual assault is a problem. Categorizing all men as potential sexual predators is, however, absurd. She either doesn’t know many good men, or she chooses to ignore the fact that few men commit sexual assault. A few men commit multiple assaults is the reality.
Apparently she has either decided that human behavior is the same for men and women, or she hasn’t taken the time to try to understand the problems men face. They are numerous and ignored by feminists like her. I recently saw a video that was on ABC about a woman who decided to immerse herself in the male world to try to better understand them. She was a radical, lesbian feminist who thought she would find a coarse, egotistical, predatory, angry group. She did this for about 18 months. She changed her a appearance so that she would look like a man, practiced deepening her voice to sound like a man, worked with behavioral experts so that her mannerisms were more “masculine”, including how she walked. What she found shocked her. She had no idea what men went through in life, or how they coped with it, or that they even tried to cope with it. One of the more enlightening things she found is just how much effort they put forth, especially in their younger years, to NOT be sexually aggressive toward women. They were very aware that their sexual urges were not anything like a woman's. Their urges were hormonally induced needs that are the result of millions of years of evolution that instilled the very real and powerful desire to mate. In a nut shell, women have wants, men have needs. I’m not saying that men who don’t sexually assault women should get some kind of medal, just that men have problems with sexuality that most feminists have no desire to acknowledge, or enlighten themselves about. This woman did, and was surprised at what she found about this aspect of male behavior, and many others.
As far as getting rid of the male half of humanity, God, or nature, or whatever or whomever you believe is responsible for the existence of the species Homo Sapiens created two genders for a reason, and it’s not just for reproductive purposes. Women, on the whole, are kinder, gentler, more nurturing, and more intuitive than men. Men, on the whole, are physically stronger, more structured, more aggressive, think more sequentially, and are more goal oriented than women. Of course there are many many variations to both men and women that make generalizations somewhat hazardous but, nonetheless, these are largely correct. If you look at successful married couples you will find this to be true.
The fact that it usually takes both to raise children successfully is born out over and over again in any honest analysis of children raised in single parent households, the vast majority of which have a woman as the lone adult raising the children. By orders of magnitude children of single parent households are more likely to drop out of school, be incarcerated, and are more likely to be poor in adulthood. They are also much more likely to have behavioral problems, including a much higher incidence of drug and alcohol abuse. This is not a knock on single mothers, although one has to wonder what kind of men they are choosing to have children with, but is more an illustration that it is better for children to have both a mother and a father raising them. Many in the black community believe that children being born out of wedlock (almost 3/4) is the number one problem their community has, not racism. Of course there are many many examples of successful people coming out of a single parent household. I personally know of quite a few, including a close friend who raised five boys on his own, all of whom turned out just fine. I am not knocking single parents but am simply pointing out that it’s much better to have two.
Oh, and Ms. Oluo, President Trump did not “proudly” admit to assaulting women on that tape. Go back and listen to it again.

Thanks for saying it. I am a proud father of three, and it takes some sacrifice for mom to stay at home and educate the kids. The public school system, uberdumb media, and society in general cannot see the plain facts: I am better at earning, she is a better parent. I would love to trade places for while and learn what I can, but what we have right here, right now, works very well!
In my opinion, child rearing is the most important job of all. You are preparing the next generation for their life in this world, and it is they who will make the world what it is in the future.
The thought of my girl registering for selective service, and possibly being drafted is horrific. I wish the feminists would just slow down and think for a minute.
