Welcome back all my Food Flinging Friends. Well you are considered friends until the Food Starts Flyin’

After cooking up some pork spareribs that the whole family was really not too fond of. They sat in a fridge for a couple days, as nobody really wanted to eat them. The flavor was awesome but the texture was just something the family wasn’t too fond of.

I couldn’t let this meat go to waste. The flavor and time spent on the grill had to be worth something.....
Then the Lightbulb turned on!

Lets chunk this meat up and make some tacos with it.

The texture of these Spare Ribs wasn’t that fall off the bone style I or the family was used to. I think is was the fat content of the Spareribs that made them like that. So I used our kitchen scissors and cut it into slices/chunks
Cover that BBQ Pork meat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes. Surprisingly quite a bit of juices formed. Don’t add any sort of taco seasonings, the intense BBQ flavor of these smoked and BBQ’d spareribs is what is goin to give this Contender a guaranteed victory.

Grab some tortillas, a brush and some coconut oil and let’s get this Contender prepped and ready for the Food Fight Friday Battle

The time has come!!!

Now that looks amazing!!
But
Will this BBQ-Smokey flavor go well with the taco toppings?

Oh man!!!
These are amazing!!!
The hit from the habanero hotsauce
The coolness of the sour cream
A slight tangy touch of the lime
And the BBQ-Smokeyness of the meat
That is some killer combo!!
The whole family just kept saying,
“WOW,
These Are
AWESOME!!”

I’m starting to think almost any type of meat can be used in a taco and you don’t even have to add seasons to make that typical taco flavor.

I ended up eating 6 of these tasty tacos and was on the verge of a food coma,
When....

Mama Splatts hit me with the Orange Cinnimon Rolls
For dessert.

“Vreeeerzrrrroooom!”

Slap anything into a tortilla and I'm game, but spareribs? YES PLEASE! Plus cinnamon rolls? I'm almost in a food coma reading that post.

Another great post by the Almost Food Fight Champ! These tacos came close to making my mouth water sir. The lime is the secret ingredient here, I’m tellin ya lime is where it’s at. I suppose that orange cinnamon bun roll of goodness looks alright as well. Haha. Everyday should be taco day!

Now that looks amazing!!

They sure do! - leftovers Meximerican BBQ spare rib tacos... eggcellent Mr @jlsplatts, truely eggcellent! 😎👍

Way to reclaim the barbecued ribs and make it your own, again. Very innovative. No need to let all that meat go to waste, right?

I'm not sure what all went into your barbecued ribs, but some of the tastiest meat for tacos are barbecued or grilled, so no surprises here.
