Saved by the coin
There's something oddly familiar about that voice, Jon thought. He turned to look at Marco, same confused look on his face. If it's time truly as Marco had said earlier, the only other person that would be standing there in front of him is Liam Oscar or as they popular call him Monster.
But Monster is not a beautiful red-head. In fact part of the reason why they call him Monster was his horrible looks, coupled with the fact he was an unrepentant sadist. Could this be Monster? He asked a question only Monster would know the answer to: "When was the last time you had sex?".
The voice boomed "Counting that time I slept with your mother? Zero". Jon smiled. Marco spoke next, "Muthafucker, you a woman now?".
Monster: You've always been a fine woman, Marco, so I thought why not?
Marco: Hahaha, very funny. What the fuck are we going to do in Russia.
Monster: She will be there.
Jon stopped packing his suitcase. She will be there he thought. The same woman that have eluded them for years. Now suddenly she's coming out? And of all places, Russia?
Marco: That's bullshit. My intel puts her right here in New York.
Monster: Your intel? Can you tell me where you got this intel?
Marco: Yes I can, but I won't.
Monster: Does this intel involve you getting a picture of her entering the Al' Manache Cafe at about 10 in the morning of 26th? Yeah right. I sent you that intel dumbass. Now I'm telling you it's stale. She left for Russia this morning.
Jon finished packing and said "Let's go. Before the good guys get here". He hasn't even finished his statement when he say a shadow across the drapes.
Jon: Scratch that. They're already here.
Jon leading the way, they made their way on their bellies to another secret door. This one let to a tunnel that spirals downwards. After crawling for what seems like eternity, the tunnel leveled out. And widens. They made their way on foot for another 15 minutes, then entered a room through a rusted iron door. They crossed the room and made their way to another door.
Jon opened the door and stepped out into the cold. There was a red sports car parked a few feet away. "Stay here while I get the car." he said over his shoulders.
Just beside the car was a beggar, he didn't remember ever seeing the beggar there. He checked his pocket and took out one of the coins he gathered ealier, bent down and dropped it in the beggar's bowl and that gesture saved his life, because just at that moment, a sniper took his show and the shot hit the wall beside him.
