"Did you heard about the Slave who wrote that symphony? The one for vacuum cleaners and floor polishers? To be played with a full orchestra?"
No, I had not.
But I believe it.
What a fun story - and poignant too!
Looking forward to the next #Caturday installment!

Sir Malcolm Arnold, a renowned British composer, probably best known for his film scores (Bridge over the River Kwai) wrote 'A Grand Grand Overture', which was a symphony for three vacuum cleaners and a floor polisher - it was a humourous, joke piece for some kind of festival. By all accounts he was an interesting character, but whether or not he liked cats remains unknown.
