Hey you, @dreemsteem, fancy meeting you here! Lovely to read your piece!
One of my best friends in Florida has both an outdoor shower, and a purple claw-footed bathtub, which are situated on a wood and brick deck in her lovely, jungle-like, and VERY private back yard.
I never took advantage, but a few years back she wrote a lovely poem, waxing poetic about her adventures in the purple footed bathtub, and it made me vaguely sorry that I hadn't.
I never had such imaginings about bathtubs as a kid, but as I got older, and the sister I shared a bedroom with and I both wanted more privacy, my parents moved me into what had been the family den, which had a wall of bookshelves separating it from our attached garage.
After a viewing of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds," I remember lying in bed awaiting the attacks from the flocks of birds that were certainly making their way through that wall, regardless of the absence of any noises that would certainly have been present if they were doing so.
Additionally, there was a large window overlooking the entry with our front door, but I don't ever recall being worried about that window, because I was so convinced that the birds would be coming in by way of the garage, and that wall of books.
Funny the things that occur to us as kids. Of course, I'm still a kid, so there's that. ;-)
Hahahhaaha
Yeah this was my first post on Uptrennd and I'm moving it over to preserve it. I wrote it a little over a year ago...going through my posts and stories are making me reminisce hehehe
Should be interesting to pull some stories off there and relive writing them! Well, at least they will have new life here hehehe
Hope you are doing well! I'm not sure how active I'll be here. I have a new project im working on that is going to demand so much of my time, but I hope I get to see people here too! Hehhee
Thank you for coming to say hi!!!! Really nice to see you Cori. 💕🥰
