RE: Nothing funny about dis-respect. - A short story

in #fiction5 years ago

Hello dear friend @sarez.

It is not easy and not healthy to try to judge people just by an action taken. It is practically impossible to create a criterion about the thoughts that are generated in the depths of the human psyche and based on this make a sharp decision as to the future of a hypothetical relationship.

In Linda's case there was the advantage of having had a long and very close relationship with Josh. This perhaps allowed her to make that important decision.

As for the title of this publication and that phrase of the "dishwasher" so morally low and lacking in empathy, it is certainly disrespectful, not only against a woman, but against the female gender.

All best, Piotr.

You are absolutely right to say that the "joke" lacks basic empathy. That is the whole point of the story- she had to be shocked to the misogyny hiding in his attitude . Men have been shits for a long time and today women (and many men) are realizing it!
