Moving day for such a huge household is SO much easier when you're friends with a wizard, and a dragon is willing to play with the littlest ones while everyone else is packing. -- The New Guy

It's never easy to be a surprise parent. Bliss appointed himself as suprise parent to a dozen pitiful lives on one harsh stormy night. He managed to pick up five more in the process of seeing to the needs of the first dozen. And then the Wizard stopped by.
Another outcast in a house of outcasts. Not enough food nor shelter for them all, but Bliss shared what little they had, regardless. The Wizard did what ze could, but that was perilously little at the time.
The second time the Wizard came, it was with a warning. The people who hated everyone in Bliss' ragtag patchwork family were coming to raze their humble home. This time, the Wizard was prepared, and brought a friend.
A little Kobold to distract and entertain the teeny tinies while Bliss and the capable ones packed every essential they could organise into sacks, baskets, and tow-carts. There were a couple of kids making and packing a travois with worried efficiency.
The last spell to help them was once to conceal any trace of where they'd gone, or how long ago. The Wizard hirself carried four teeny tinies as the entire host fled.
Bare hours before the angry mob came to burn what little they left behind to the ground. Bare hours before one of those idiots set fire to the forest in which they were trapped.
By then, Wraithvine had Bliss, the starting dozen, the five teeny tinies, and hir Kobold onto a boat ze'd conjured. They floated peacefully down the river and sang songs to drown out the screaming. In three days, they would be well on their way to a much better sanctuary. In eight, they would be building their new place in the hidden community made with other outcasts.
