I personally believe we should never shy away from the tough subjects. Keep writing and build trust with readers. If you develop a consustent voice and support others, you will see that they will support you almost no matter what you choose as your subject matter. There are certainly safer subjects that resonate with more people. But you need to decide what your goals are.
well I've always been melodramatic lol. and controversial by nature. I'll stick with my heart on this. only a heart can touch another heart. this is why poetry was invented.
