Ugh! I know right?? Those pesky giants are the worst! You know, turkey isn't actually that famous here, I don't know why. Personally, I always find it stringy and hard to chew. Maybe the difference is in the breed or the way it's prepared. You're already on the dinner scene! I hope you're enjoying the story as you progress farther! I appreciate you taking the time to leave comments on every chapter :D

What would be a food that makes you sleepy there?
I don't know much about turkeys or their history, lol. It could be the way it's prepared. It should pull away in strings, if you pull at it, but definitely shouldn't be hard to chew. Sliced up and the stringiness should disappear. Now I'm hungry, haha!!
I can't say for sure, but I guess whenever one ingests a whole lot of everything, they get that tired feeling after eating. Maybe siesta is just ingrained in our DNA, even though we don't normally practice it these days.
I could totally go with that: siesta ingrained into DNA!!! It's a wonderful way to deal with after lunch heat. :D
When we were growing up, we were forced to sleep during the afternoon by our grandmother. The reason was for us to be taller haha too bad I was just a bundle of energy when I was young.
I wasn't good at nap time either. I would have needed to nap hanging by my feet to get taller...lol
Really though, height is in the genes. If your parents are less than 6 feet, and none of your relatives exceed that either, I don't think you should hope to go beyond it any time soon haha!
I never had a hope for height. LOL.
