The sound was raucous and it took me out really quickly from the intricate ways of my sleeping process. "Hello," I answered, rolling my eyes. They hung up. I do not know how many times I ran to answer the phone and it was nobody. This empty daily marathon took my breath away, not to mention the absurdly maddening sensation of torment.
My body did not hesitate and burst through the red-hot covers of that delicious bed. "Would I be able to once and for all get into the dream world?" My thinking machine would not keep me quiet, and the ticking of the clock could get my psyche run over.
The struggle with my body surrendered and I began to fasten some ties with the invisible side of life. The somewhat exhausted breathing began to smooth down in green lights connecting me to a deep breath and my material being began a sweet and gentle movement of looseness and freedom on the mattress. But the cold knife of reality cut my link in the form of an insistent noise from the telephone.
I did not think twice. As elastic as a yoga practitioner, I opened the drawer and met my pharmacological friends. I put two in my mouth, swallowed with anger and so much force, even wounding my throat, and in a few minutes a beautiful beach appeared before me. I finally found a little peace!
A faint and soft light coming from the window invited me to the real-world party. I eased my eyelids gently and realized that the hands of the clock were in different places than usual when I got up on other days of the week. I smiled totally unconcerned.
After stretching like a cat, I slid gently off the bed, felt the softness of the floor under my feet just like candle wicks, and went to the bathroom. I barely reached the door, my face turned into a mask of a monster when I heard the damn device in the living room. "My God, have mercy!"
I grabbed the phone angrily: "Hello!"
"Hey sweetie!"
I could feel the heavy burden and a profound obscurity on my aunt's voice on the other side of the line.
"Your mother is not among us anymore."
I hung up and there was silence in the place and inside of me.

Great story, the swallowing of the pill sounded painful, I'd love to wonder in a dream.
Yes, she was really in pain all the way in her travel to a good night sleep. Thank you for the comment @helpingothers!
