Yay! Have managed to catch up after being super busy for a week... Funny, when I saw the first chapter I straight away thought this series might be a lot darker... don't know why, it was just a feeling, and here we are 9 chapters later and everyone is dead!
Interesting to think about the ethics. As I said in a previous comment I like the idea of a chance at an untainted restart of humanity, but obviously that might involve some really tough decisions... However, if what you want to do is avoid violence and abuse, does it not mean that by killing everyone you have become what you are desperately trying to avoid? It just becomes an elite that causes violence and abuse in a clinical way, 'means to an end' kind of way. Definitely an ethical dilemma. Looking forward to the next dose of food for thought!
