RE: The Handmaiden and the Princess, a Work of Poetic Prose

in #fiction7 years ago

I used to be an actor and took on characters that were not at all like me. The characters needed to be served with certain energies and so I took on those energies. So it is true with certain stories. The handmaiden had so much venom, it had to go beyond words or even poison. It was the princess' ability to dance magic with her arms and so they had to be the target.

I have seen my son take on those energies that are foreign to him and it's quite unnerving to watch. Your ability to do that certainly served you well as you wove this tale.

Such vivid imagery! I felt like I was an observer on the scene. Not all writers are able to engage the reader in that way so, bravo!

Thank you, Samantha:)
