Nordlute sighed. It was another typical day in his solitary office, piled high with old hard drives, backup tapes and a box of Sinclair Spectrums (Spectra?). He had automated a lot of his work. A Raspberry Pi on a shelf used to flash a red light whenever shitposts were spotted on the network, but there was no discernible gap between the flashes lately. He had tried a buzzer, but the noise drove him mad.
The latest annoyance was a site selling something called a Zizi Gougou that had no apparent use. He could see from the web traffic that it was getting lots of attention, but as it was encrypted he could not trace the customers or the seller. They were crafty enough to use cryptocurrency to make it harder to follow the money.
He still had a program looking for the beautiful girl he had seen at Torundel's house. He was startled when it sent him a message of a possible match. He pulled up the picture and there she was in the background of some tourist's holiday snap at a fishing port. His heart broke a little as he saw she had her arms wrapped around a handsome young fisherman. Yet another chance of love slipped away.
Nordlute sighed.

Sounds a lot like my office. I literally have stacks and stacks of hard drives that I have pulled out of machines to replace them with SSD's!

I think you are actually quite good at writing prose. There's a good vibe in it.
With the amount I've read I ought to pick up some ideas. It's just not something I have studied since school.
I think it is a bit like music, and as you write lyrics it is simply a matter of getting used to the new form. Reading a lot also develops your language and skills in writing of course.
