Nordlute felt everything had changed. The world seemed to be going mad. Torundel had been executed according to the Sang laws. Ren du Lot had disappeared leaving his legal clients hanging. The Count did seem to be in good spirits, but then there was the odd disembodied singing people kept hearing around town. Some said it sounded like Runt Odel.
Nordlute had hoped that Torundel's beautiful young servant girl might be sticking around, but she had gone too, presumably back into the arms of her handsome fisherman.
The volume of shitposts he had to deal with at work had trailed off with just a few that were well below the standard of those he had been seeing. He had more time for games of Woodchip-World monster battle as nobody was likely to bother him in his little office.
He also browsed the music shops of the web for a new strupaxe. Perhaps he should give up IT for a life in music instead.
He stopped for coffee on his way home from work. When he picked it up he noticed they had spelled his name wrong on the cup (Nordloot), but next to it was a phone number and the pretty barista gave him a wink!

Mort, the shit manager by @slobberchops inhabits a different universe, but follows similar rules.
