There was a light so bright it would have seemed blinding if it weren't so warm and forgiving. It was as if she had expected to see a freight train barreling down upon her but it was just this indescribable entity. The glow seemed to envelope the entire waterfront until just before she believed she might faint, she fell to her knees and her head fell just inches from the mossy dock. She could smell the moss clinging to the wet, weathered boards below her. She finally felt grounded. For a moment, she forgot what she just saw in the lake.
