Looking at the comments here, seems people are a bit lost. I love these little crypto breadcrumb trails.

So here's a few obvious things:

  • It isn't a Bitcoin wallet address, it's too short.
  • It isn't a Bitcoin priv/public key, it's too short and doesn't follow the same rules.
  • It isn't a Litecoin wallet or Litecoin priv/pub key either, given that uses the same format as Bitcoin.
  • It isn't an Ethereum wallet or Ethereum priv/pub key.
  • It isn't a default auto-generated Steem key; once again doesn't follow the same rules.
  • It isn't something too easy.

So far I haven't found any wallets that start with a W. Also, it does show as a Base64 encryption, but nothing comes out of it. I have other ideas, but I don't want to be too helpful to anyone else... no offense. :-P

Well here's a hint if you're not already there: the other image he posted is probably solved via XOR.

I was assuming the two were related, but since the image was last uploaded/updated about three to three-and-a-half years ago I just let the trail die.

Fair enough. If you're interested in how it might work, this could be a pretty good example http://fabiensanglard.net/fizzlefade/index.php
