Should directors shoot the entire movie?

Some directors shoot the movie entirely. Makes us watch the finale of the movie. There is nothing left for the audience to guess anymore. There are also some directors who shoot part of the film. The most important part leaves the most important details to the viewer.

This is a matter of debate among the audience. Should I shoot the whole movie or part of it? Should all the burden be on the director or should the audience lighten the director's burden?

I think some directors should shoot the whole movie. Or, those directors should leave the final part of the film to the audience in some of their films.

I think playing around with the formation of anything too much can turn the tide. I think that every job started should be completed and the audience should only stay in the watching part.
