The Shawshank Redemption
Most of us when we find a free time on hour hands , we decide to watch a film and i can say surely most of us have watched a decent amount of imdb's top 250 film. Why? Because those films are the best there is ,with content, acting, visual effects and so on....
Concluding this i am gonna talk sbout a certain message with in one of my favorite movies of all time meant to tell us(viewers) a certain message within the movie content, that you probably missed.
#1. The Shawshank Redemption
I will start with giving my utmost respect to the cast and the director Frank Darabont on making such a masterpiece to amuse and educate the future generations. The movie itself is pretty simple giving us 2 hours of amusement and a cheer for the main character Andy Dufresne on his journey to freedom and cleanse from the false judgment that was sentenced upon him.But the movie itselfs values the knowledge and the motivation a man has to fight his unlucky destiny.
As the great and well respected writer and psychologist Viktor Frankl once said in his book "Man's Search for Meaning" and i quote
-"He who has a why to live, can bare almost anyhow"
To simplify this wonderful quote in a corespondence with the movie , Andy our beloved main character seemed to have a dream that he will die as free man on a beach house in a certain village in Mexico with all his false judgment being overthrown. His fighting spirit and patience is supremely admirable and he conspired 15 years in prison , working on his plan to buy the house and escape prison.
That is truly a strong message on how a normal man , beside all the bad things that happened to him(from being wrongly charged with murder and life in prison, to being raped by other inmates and being used as a puppet by the warden and his guards) had the will power to overcome everything ,fight his way to freedom and live his life in his own eyes.
You can only admire the strength in a motivated human and learn a valuable lesson how humans are strong enough for every hurdle.
