I have so many things to say about this movie, so I will continue writing down some refelctions.
What struck me the most is the symbolical shift (and matching) of colors in the movie. In the beginning we have orange, red, yellow. Only one scene ends in black, when misfortune suddenly comes. Intimate moments between lovers are represented using a small number of colors – white, grey and the color of skin. This contrasts greatly with the richness of emotions between the two, and this is also made more effective by specific way in which short scenes alter each other. Kids remain in red clothes from the beginning till the end, while adults always wear different colors, which change as their relationships change, and also the state of their mind, body and soul.
It is interesting that the main characters in film are also family in their real life. I think that’s why they are so real and authentic. Throughout whole film I had the feeling that I know them, every person is so true, so specific, clear and misterious at the same time.
I can’t help myself and stop thinking how this experience influenced their life, as the characters they act went through really dramatic situations. I think it helped them understand each other more, and that they broadened their view on love and sacrifice.
