Plot:
Get Out is a horror story about what it means to be black in America.

A talented young black photographer called Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) goes on a trip with Rose, his white girlfriend (Allison Williams) to visit her parents for the first time. He is understandably apprehensive, especially when Rose informs him she hasn’t told them he is black. When he arrives at the house, he is welcomed by Rose’s hypnotherapist mother, Missy Armitage (Catherine Keener), and neurologist father Dean Armitage(Bradley Whitford) and Rose’s brother Jeremy (Calab Landry Jones). Chris is disturbed to find that the Armitage family has a number of black servants.

He is further unsettled by (mostly white) visitors to the house who make racist comments, announcing “Black is in fashion!”. Rose’s hypnotherapist mother mesmerizes Chris to make him believe that he is trapped at the bottom of a deep pit.One aspect of Chris’s predicament involves being forcibly detached from reality through hypnosis, disappearing through the floor into a dark world which in the movie is known as “the Sunken Place”. Chris soon begins to learn the truth behind the "black is in fashion".

My Review:
Peele takes his sweet time before revelations open Chris’s eyes to the horrifying truth. The thing I like about Peele is that being a comedian he knows all about set-ups, pacing and punchlines – and Get Out is no different.

It’s less Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, more Guess What’s Being Served

The movie comes from Blumhouse Productions, the company behind low-budget horror franchises such as Paranormal Activity and The Purge.

Also Peele is best known for his satirical TV comedy show partnership with Keegan-Michael Key.
