Analysis
In the Triangle as a good Thriller the protagonist must do everything to overvamp and escape, but from the hand of Christopher Smith presents a really interesting script where he adds psychological elements as well as temporary jumps a gem for all the fans of riddles, travel in time or parallel realities. We must give the triangle about 30 min, because at this stage it feels as if the story has not reached its development and despite appearing boring every minute of the film counts, if we want to fully understand it. After 45 minutes most of the viewers should feel as their mind begins to decipher the order of the film and this is one of the virtues of the script and believe me is just the beginning of the challenge that you have to decipher.
To be a low budget movie the performances were level, being the main Melissa George as Jess where the character changes are clearly reflected throughout the film, although Cristopher Smith does not bother to develop to all the characters, the rhythm of the film and the way it is focused, this detail goes unnoticed and does not feel necessary.
My intention is not to reveal the plot because it would be pointless to do it before seeing it, but to fully understand the film it is necessary to be attentive to all its details, as many as, objects, phrases and even the color palette used by the director in different scenes are indications of where our character is.
The Triangle shows us that thriller films can have an excellent script and do not need excessive amounts of blood to entertain and keep attentive viewers, in short i recommend closed eyes the triangle, it is a film that I encourage you to watch accompanied in this way at the end you can discuss your theories with your friends or just see it again.
