My photography is heavily influenced by impressionist paintings.
That's why for me perfection is far less important; it's the
impression a picture leaves that counts.
I'm sorry to say so, but impressing through technical skills is a thing for uninspired artists.
And it's BIG in photography.
Shot on Kodak Portra 400, if I remember correctly, using a Graflex 4x5 camera.

Wow. The print by itself was awesome, but in that heavy gilt frame it really emphasizes the moodiness. Yes, absolutely, impressionist is a perfect way to describe your work. And your quotes at the end of this post couldn't be more true (although I think this applies to pretty much all art, I may agree that it is particularly pronounced in photography). You rock!
