Watching Possession for the first time, I could detect the shadow of Grotowsky in director Andrzej Zulawki’s handling of his actors: in the personality-destroying hysteria of Sam Waterson and the whirling smarminess of Heinz Bennent, but most of all in Isabelle Adjani’s showstopper. If you’ve seen the film you know which scene I’m talking about. Yes, Adjani’s subway meltdown, which I count among the bravest and most moving performances ever caught on film.
Thanks for reminding me about this movie, unjustly forgotten, which I wanted to see since a very long time... Now downloading :)
I'm glad to be useful to you) I wish you a pleasant viewing, although this film is not for the faint of heart)
I just watched Park Chan Wook's The Handmaiden today :) Much recommended, and not for faint of hearts either :)
Thanks for the advice, I love movies not for the faint-hearted;)
