there aren't many films in existence that can make me laugh as much as this one did. As a matter of fact I am able to at minimum have a giggle just recalling certain scenes from it. A lot of this has to do with Jonah Hill, who in my mind at least, solidified himself as a comedy powerhouse in this movie.

I had heard of Michael Cera (from Juno) but at least for me this was a welcome-wagon of sorts to Jonah Hill, who is by far the most outstanding actor of this movie. Of course we also got to meet McLovin (Christopher Mintz-Plasse,) who i suspect we won't really see much more of in his career.
The entire story behind Superbad is what is referred to as a "coming of age" film. The fellas are all still in high school and are concerned about how they will be going to college next year and well, they are preoccupied with the normal things that people who still live with their parents are normally concerned with: college, hooking up with girls, and how to score booze.
The involvement of two of my favorite comedy actors, Set Rogan and Bill Hader as a couple of slightly strange police officers was a real treat in the film, and they provide plenty of laughs as well because they clearly don't give a crap about enforcing the law and abuse their power whenever possible.
I think out of all the thousands of movies that i have watched (and honestly, there likely hasn't been thousands) that this is one of my favorite comedies of the past 20 years. Jonah Hill has gone on to show us that he is not a one-trick pony and actually can perform as a serious actor as well - which is good. I don't feel the same about the rest of the cast and unless they do something totally different in the next couple of years, I suspect they will be restricted to silly comedies in perpetuity - which isn't necessarily a bad thing because there is a lot of money in comedy... this film made $140 million, for example.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie the first time i saw it, and the 20 of so times i watched if after the first try. Therefore, if you enjoy juvenile humor, there is a a better-than-average chance that you will enjoy it as well. It comes highly recommended by the dream.
Love your post about one of my all time favourite comedies, so much great dialogues, courtesy of the writing of Mr. Seth Rogen and Mr. Evan Goldberg. Like you, this is a movie that whenever it's on, I have to see at least a couple of scenes, so much fun and overall cool perfomances. When Jonah Hill goes to a party with the guy go ran him over and starts dancing with a girl and then he notices blood on his leg, that always makes me cry of laughter, the phrase "Someone perioded on my fucking leg?" will forever put a smile on my face.
Superbad is HILARIOUS! You can always watch it and get a laugh for sure:) for me it’s the same with dumb and dumber, no matter how many times I watch it it’s just awesome haha. Same for ace Ventura actually 😂
Christopher Mintz was the best actor in this movie. (One of my favorite comedy movies.) lol "Mclovin"

Great fantastic phenomenal funny hilarious movie starring Seth Rogan, Jonah hill, Michael cera and Bill hader. I love this movie, every joke is funny especially Jonah hill, he's so funny, he's to me the second funniest actor ever. Number one is Mike Myers, sorry Seth Rogan, you are number 3. I love the concept of 2 high school kids trying to get the girls and get alcohol for them and do some crazy stuff with some cops like foggle. He's the best character in this movie, he does the craziest things, him as a character is the best.
A very funny film that feels like a throwback to some of the teen comedies from the 80s. Very funny if you can tolerate Hills blunt humour which is sometimes hilarious but very loud. Not a classic but following the success of Pineapple express and Knocked Up, Rogen was on a roll and this film has many memorable funny moments.
