Last week I introduced my new project Finally Network. As the 2nd Sndbox assignment is to explore Blockchain Apps I thought it would be a great chance to share some extra ideas about the project.
Finally aims to be a fast way to create a website. The website will automatically pull in content a user has created on the Steem blockchain.
Currently on the network of apps there are apps that show specific content for example D.tube, Steephsot (plus many others) show videos or photos. Steemit/Busy/Steempeak on the other hand show all content an account has created from any App. The idea for Finally is to be a hub for a Steem users content and put them back in control of how their content it is displayed. Being in control of their content a user can be free to make Steem their main source of content rather can copy/pasting to other platforms and using Steem as a secondary resource mechanism.
Themes
An exciting aspect of Finally is the ability to use Themes to style content. There will be photography, writing and video specific themes but all themes that work well to showcase multiple types of content. Themes can be styled to better filter, organise and highlight content rather than just a reverse chronological feed. New themes will be launched regularly. As an open source project contributions are free to make additions/fixes to the themes.
Control
One of the issues I hear from users of the Steem network is their hesitation to share their content with an outside audience. This hesitation comes party from the lack of control of the user flow, the person visiting your content may make their way to an unfriendly article an associate it with you.
Users will have the option to apply a custom domain. With a custom domain users can feel their content is theirs not just part of a social networking site.
Extra Features
Finally plans to support many extra features that are not currently available on other steem platforms. Grouping content, enhanced embed support, notifications, shop features, newsletter signups, memberships and support features.
The most interesting feature I would like to include in the future is support features (think Patreon style commitments). The overarching aim is to help support creatives. There is plenty of opportunity to include these features once Finally is off the ground.
It’s an exiting time to be building new platforms ontop of the blockchain. If you have thoughts and ideas that might shape this platform please leave a comment.

Thanks for the continued support of this project! Really excited to get the more features out the door and get users onboard. Working on updates right now. Will release more information soon. 🚀
Hey, @finallynetwork.
So, when would say these other features will be incorporated. I went and took a look and I definitely like the idea and the concept. The idea of the user being able to essentially showcase their work is awesome, and something that has been sorely lacking, I believe. That control you speak of, as well as the ability to customize with templates and so forth. I'll be checking back to see how Finally is progressing.
Hey, thanks for the support. Apologies for the delay in response, awkward timing with HF20. I'm going to be working full-time on Finally to get it off the ground, hope to see you around in upcoming updates :)
I love where this is going. Developers like you help the community a lot. I have a question, is it that we can post in our steemit account and it'll get posted in our website too? and people can upvote and comment in my post via my website and it'll appear in steemit as well. Just to make sure I didn't misunderstand about the platform.
Yes that is exactly right. Content is pulled directly from the blockchain so it will show on your website right away (future themes will have the option to show only certain hashtags and customise in other ways ). Comments/votes work both ways using FinallyComments if a user votes or comment on your website it will show on Steemit(plus any other Steem app) and vice versa if a user votes/comments on Steemit it will show on your website.
I like where this is going <3
My first reaction was: " Oooo shiny" because how your blog looks is crucial for attracting people to it. And honestly blogs on steemit can look austere as '90 blog. It's getting hard to keep track of so many awesome projects on top of the steem blockchain.
It's encouraging to know you like the idea of improving the way blogs look. Thanks :)
This. Is. Awesome!!!!
What amazing news and something that will allow steem so much more traction and adoption.
Entrepreneurs could potentially flock to the blockchain because of projects like this and others. Fantastic news.

🙌🙌 Glad you like the idea!
Your exactly right! I believe we need to break Steem out of it's own container, it is very much an inner circle right now. One of the aims with Finally is to bring people into the network with a 'simple website builder on the blockchain' it will be awhile before I have all the themes/features for that but it's on the roadmap!
Awesome. Sounds like a good option for those out there that aren't web devs.
Thanks for the support! That is exactly the plan. As a web developer I know I can add my Steem posts to any website using Javascript but for the average user they are stuck with the main platforms. Finally will have a simple user interface where anyone can setup a website with Steem data without knowing any programming.
this looks very promising...salute!
Glad you like it. Thanks for taking a look.
Wow!! This is very innovative @sndbox. Just like wordpress it is. I'll checkout @sambillingham right away.
Hey, thanks for the support. Apologies for the delay in response, awkward timing with HF20. It will work somewhat like Wordpress but it many ways I aim to keep it a lot simpler. Wordpress is a powerful tool but can be overwhelming and unnecessarily complex for many users. The plan for Finally is to get a website with your steem data in just a few clicks :)
Very interesting project! I'll be sure to follow up
Thanks Mike! Next update/more info very soon.
can we add google adsense this website @sndbox ? ( if we can #SteemitToMoon )
Possibly. It would help if you could share details on the type of site that you think would benefit from this? In general I'd prefer not to allow 3rd party tracking with the ad networks and allow creators to earn through the Steem blockchain.
This looks really awesome!

🙌Thanks for the support! More info coming soon on @finallynetwork account
I really like this idea. Just the ability to showcase work in one place is a awesome, particularly if it includes older work, too, maybe something closer to the payout that's been buried after a few days.
This is a very good project at first glance, and so thank you for supporting it, @sndbox.
Thanks for the support. Once the platform is off the ground there will be plenty of features for customising what is shown. As you mention it's a great way to showcase content that will be pushed down on busy/steemit
This is exactly what Steemit needs. Thanks!

Thanks! Glad you like the idea.
Good Idea, It will be a good feature. Thank You!
🙌Thanks. Glad you like the idea! More info coming soon on @finallynetwork account
Looks great, I might be very interested in this! 💯
Thanks Charles. Ace to hear you're interested in the idea. I'll be releasing another update and more information next week. If you have any specific details about how you could best use this type of platform or what features you would need let me know.
Will it be possible to edit our post there? Because we may have made some mistakes in our previous post which can't be edited now. Or will be option not to display specific post from the website?

Thanks for the questions.
Unfortunately not. Data shown will match that of the blockchain and other Steem apps.
After HF20, I think post edit will be possible, isn't? In that case, I think it will be possible in your site too.

Yes edit is possible in HF20 but I think it is only for new posts after HF20. Test it on an old post of yours?
