great, theres not really a choice in this, the irony is that the wealthy have forced it on society by buying out governments and forcing the middle classes to pay for unemployed people by regulating them out of business in order to monopolize theirs. the great thing about third world countries is that they dont have welfare but you are allowed to go out on the street and sell stuff if you want to. sure there are poor people, but there are poor people sitting in dingy houses watching TV all day in the west too, you just cant see them, they cant afford to go anywhere. solo mothers? those used to exist before welfare and still do in the third world. they are called prostitutes. but there was a brief period of human history after the second world war where many western countries did have full employment and relative wealth, that was called proportional taxation, but that suffered a setback in the reagan era when the wealthy replaced it with tax cuts and welfare, mainly paid for by the once wealthy middle class. basic income is really just a type of proportional taxation which was proven in the 50s-70s to be very succesful..
