"Naftogaz" following the results of the first half of the year 2016 will come to profit over 20 billion UAH, the prime minister Vladimir Groysman with reference to the draft financial statements provided by "Naftogaz" has declared.
"Naftogaz", the company which for many years was a such "black hole" and through which huge funds from the government budget were washed away in private pockets, becomes now, on the contrary, the donor of the budget. If for many years before Naftogaz steadily received compensation from the government budget which exceeded already 100 billion UAH in recent years, then this year on the contrary – it begins to fill up the budget seriously. In 2016 Naftogaz for the first time since 2006 does not get support from the state in the form of compensation of a difference in the prices and rates for heat at all. Already following the results of the first half of the year Naftogaz will come to profit over 20 billion UAH. Its basis will be constituted by profit on gas transit which "was completely eaten" because of cut price of gas "earlier — he has written on Facebook.
According to Groysman, until the end of the year the group of "Naftogaz" plans to transfer more than 60 billion UAH of taxes into the budget. "What not only completely will block the means necessary for payment of subsidies to those who need it today, but also will allow to finance part of other social payments" — the prime minister is sure.
He has promised that the profit of "Naftogaz" will go not only to the budget, but also to investments into production of the Ukrainian gas.
