Card Information
UK Cards | Information |
Nationwide Debit Card (Visa) | Charge for withdraws from foreign ATMs - £1 +2% | Charge for purchases in foreign currencies - +2%. (Visa currency exchange rates). |
Revolut Prepaid Debit Card (MasterCard) | ATM withdraws are free up to £200 per month - +2% thereafter | Purchases in foreign currencies are free. (Revolut currency exchange rates*) *Though the Revolut exchange rate is usually excellent, I've noticed with some currencies it can vary widely depending on the time of day. It's worth checking the rate in the app before making large withdraws or purchases. |
US Cards | Information |
Schwab Brokerage Account + Checking Account (Visa) | Refunds all ATM fees incurred monthly. (You must open a brokerage account, minimum investment $1000.) US residents only. |

There's also another similar card to Revolut in the UK called Monzo - same ATM withdraw limit (free up to £200 per month) and no extra fees on transactions abroad, but I don't think the rate is as good as Revolut (not sure though). It is also more limiting as there are no multi-currency options, but the rate is definitely better than most bank debit/credit cards. However they now upgraded from their previous prepaid card option and you can set up an actual current account with an overdraft even with them.
I must say that after I discovered Revolut, I kinda stopped using them though, but it is an option for those interested!
Thanks for the info, I'll add it to the next edition and credit you there. I hadn't heard of Monzo before, but I guess if you had that and a Revolut card, you could double your monthly withdraws without fees. Muchas gracias @buttpacker. 👍
Yup exactly, that's why I still kept my Monzo! :P De nada, happy to help and help suggest ways to cut down on them evil bank fees!
