I got the prime visa credit card for travel cuz it had no foreign transaction fee and I have amazon prime but after using it for a few months I realized it never gave me rewards? Unlike how discover always lets me apply cash back to the bill of the credit card. So I finally found the rewards they're in the rewards section of the payment part of my account on amazon. Guess I had a hundred bucks sittin around I didnt know about .
On another financial note, my company was hosting a 401K education lecture and I finally found out that we had a 2 year vesting schedule. They never mentioned it on hire but then again back when I got hired they were changing the financial management company that held all the employees' 401Ks, so maybe when everyone got switched over, that's when it got implemented? I'll have been here for 2 years in july so I'm not super worried about being unvested. I think 2 years is crazy, I hate when companies do things like that. My last company laid off our entire office, including people who hadn't been there long enough for the company's 401k contributions to vest.I was just reading an article the other day about how badly peoples' retirements in the U.S. have been affected by the rise of 401ks as the the primary retirement plan.
