As much as everyone had hoped the rainy season had started, well we got something completely different.
A heatwave for the last 4 or 5 days and the wind is blowing strongly from the west.
That means it has traveled over most of the interior of Southern Africa before it gets to us and its baking hot.
The last two days have been temperatures of between 37 and 40 degrees centigrade. That means we are getting the full force of the hot air derived over the Kalahari desert coming in on those winds.
It has just made the fires so much worse.
The air is so hot the smoke from the fires is not even going up anymore but just creating a haze.
Oh God that horrible! There is no way to fight those fires to avoid losing more places, trees, animals among others? That situation so unpleasant hopefully everything improves
May God save animals
Yes, I agree . The animals/innocent are usually the ones to suffer and,if we would take a little more care/concern, it needn't be! Please lets allow this notion/thought to spiral!
Oho This is very big problem in every country.Very big fire.Every government solve this big issue. Many tress are burn.So sad.Hopefully Everyone save.
God help you and all the people in your area. Try to remain in the home itself and take good care. May God bless you with no heat at all.!!
Hard luck @gavvet. Stay save.
Hope everything gets to normal soon
Omg hope everyone is doing well!

I really regret this situation@gavvet It is incredible that forest fires continue to happen years after years, the losses caused by them are millionaire sums and not to mention the environmental impact.
Looks devastating .... :-(
I believe it is going to get much hotter here in Gauteng the next week or so
Are you save my bro?
I pray for your good health. God bless all of us @gavvet
