Tried white sturgeon fishing for the first time the other day. After 6hrs of looking and tying numerous places... we found them!
A whopping 84 incher from snout to tail!
Took just over an hr and a half to haul the big guy in. After the battle was over, we got a couple pics then sent him on his way.
Still wanting to catch a smaller, legal one for a keeper (had to be under 63inches) we ended up hooking into this pig.
This brute was a 77incher. It only took us about 45 minutes to haul this guy in due to experience from the first one. Once again, we fought him up to the deck, took a couple pics and released'em. By this time it was about 100 degrees F on the water so we left for the day.
Talk about an experience! This was even more fun than halibut fishing! If given the chance to go sturgeon fishing, I highly recommend it eh. You'll never forget the experience!
Great article!
Wow, they're huge! I'll tell @cellardoorzero to check you out. He lives for fishing.
Wow! Fuck yeah dude! Where is this?!... following you for sure!
Thanks eh! This was outside of Kettle Falls in Washington State.
