I have never forgotten when we were in the army and were told 1 beer equates to 10 slices of bread so if you have a night out you are consuming many loaves. The good thing about being very fit and active is whatever you consume gets burned up until you stop being so active is when the problem starts.

to a certain degree that is the case but they kind of lied to you about the bread to beer ratio. The underlying message there is true. beer is one of the worst things that an inactive person can do to themselves.
