Day 17 and Day 18 of 80 Day Obsession Workout Program
Well, Day 17 and 18 in the books. Another hard one, but I kinda like the hard work. Yesterday was cardio day and today was Day 18 which was AAA. Cardio was still tough, but I did better yesterday. So my cardio is improving, not a lot, but some. Any progress on cardio I take, since it’s my weakest point. It surprised me that I made it through cardio day that well. However, we will see if I say the same for Day 20. That would be a good improvement because cardio flow is the tougher cardio. Cardio core is the easier one. If you have been following my journey you see I upped my weights on upright rows and bent-over rows, so my strength is improving. It may only be a couple of pounds, but at least I’m improving! It was very challenging, especially the three rounds! Not only weights today, but bands and sliders too! I'm slowly learning to love the bands... slowly. I do feel like I’m getting use to the bands and the sliders.
My Favorite Moves
I would say my favorite moves for Day 18 would be the hammer curls and skull crushers. Not sure why, but hammer curls is one move I can always do easily. So doing that move always makes me feel so strong. It's hard to explain, but it always gives me joy when I finish it. I think the reason I like hammer curls is because it’s a move that was easy weight for me, challenging but not super challenging. I like doing skull crushers also. I did that move when I did the workout program Body Beast and it was one of my favorite moves in that workout program. As you can see I love weight lifting a lot more than cardio. It's one of my favorite things to do as a workout and makes me feel so strong. Cardio is a big weakness of mine. However, I will still do it and keep trying on my cardio. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
My Least Favorite Moves
My least favorite moves to do were the bent-over flys and bent over rows. I have always struggled with bent-over flys and they kill me every time. I still can’t do five pounds on that yet; hopefully next week I can do that, but I’m just not there yet. So, I pushed through and got them done. Bent-over rows was tough today, however I surprised myself, I upped my weights from five pounds to eight pounds. I struggled but I finished, which surprised me considering I upped my weight. That move is love to hate, but when I finish it I'm like, yes I did it and it’s over.
So Which Band Did I Use Today?
As you can see in the picture above, I used the heavy band. I was feeling strong today, so I used the heavy band. It was definitely more challenging, but I'm determined on getting stronger with the bands. I used the heavy bands to challenge myself, and I really felt it in the fire hydrants. That move with the heavy bands is so hard but I’m glad I could finish it. Also, I feel like I’m finally getting better at glute bridges. I’ve never been good at them but always enjoy them. I feel my range of motion is finally getting better with them, which is a big achievement for me. I really do feel improvement with the bands, finally. Tomorrow will be interesting. I may be sore tomorrow, considering I upped my weights today.
Are you doing any workouts or doing a certain workout program?
Does it involve bands?
Does it involve weights or a mixture of both?
Are you just doing a cardio program?

Yep, cardio sucks, i can push and pull tons but when I do cardio... stepper..or really something basic..after 15 min..i sweat and feel like a laizy pig.. bands are a good ideea for people that atruggle with pull ups of any kind ...but its all about practice..one day 5 min next 7min..and so on
Cardio is the worst, one of my biggest struggles. Slow and steady wins the race. Well at least that is what I tell myself lol
