SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY!
I didn't lift or go to the gym today. I got caught up in activities this afternoon and didn't eat well, either. Because of the mediocre nutritional intake, I felt like I didn't have the energy to hit legs today.
However, that does not mean I did nothing. :) I went for a 45-minute walk around the neighborhood, so I'd get at least some leg exercise in today. It was a pretty rough walk - I had lactic acid building up in my shins after 20 minutes and actually had to stop walking a couple times to get the energy to continue. I was DRAGGING, it pretty much sucked, but I did it.
The main takeaways from today are: 1. Eat well and eat often, and 2. Prioritize the gym. I played a poker tournament all afternoon which, while fun, should not have taken priority over eating right and getting to the gym. In fact, after about four hours of play, I was stressing out that I wasn't going to get to the gym before it closed, and it impacted my play. Add to that the fact that I've been eating fairly low amounts of carbs, and I just didn't have the gas to lift today.
I upped my carbs a fair bit after my walk, didn't gorge on protein, and will make sure to eat more better for Arm Day tomorrow. I also have shoulder PT in the morning which should help get my energies flowing.
Even though I didn't lift today, I did get in a good chunk of exercise, so I'm not counting it as a missed day. As such, this marks the end of two weeks' worth of training. The bod is feeling good and overall I'm feeling leaner and fitter. Though it may not be by much after 14 days, I can still feel the improvements since before I began. In fact, I'm feeling better in general - both mentally and physically, so it's all good. One step at a time, one day at a time...
Off to bed now, looking forward to blasting arms and abs tomorrow!
Stay Strong, Steemians
