Hello @lovelygirl. You've made a great case for adding step work to ones training routine.
I'm a distance runner and although I've been in a bit of a rut when it comes to running lately I think I'll probably add some stair work once a week to my training plan for the next half marathon I do.
Much as I hate to admit it, I tend to run mostly on flat areas when I do run outside and I keep my treadmill flat when it's too hot to run outside bc I hate hills. However, when I do integrate a hill training run into my plan once a week I usually get great results. Looking forward to substituting stairs for hills. Sort of lol.
As a trainer that works with runners I can tell you that it will help activate your glutes and your hamstrings. If you focus on the low back development as well you can break some of your current barriers. Check my feed out I will be adding more and more content
