Hello @omsoc! Welcome aboard!

You are the first Steemian I can claim at least partial credit for onboarding! I remember being the first one of @gamer00 and I to open my mouth on the topic of Steem as the supreme content creator's platform when we met at the gym the other day. Again, you are most welcome here. Do not shy away from any questions if you need help.

Thank you so much for giving me an opportunity to believe in this platform, I had made the account in May of 2017, but I was not interested or didn't know how it worked, now I am willing to learn everything about Steemit!

That's commendable.

But it really doesn't even take belief in the platform for someone to want to blog on it. You can see $$$ stack up with your own eyes. ;)

Steemit.com is only one user interface to the Steem blockchain. There are hundreds of applications that access it of which Steemit.com just happens to be the most popular. If you prefer another UI for blogging, you might want to check out busy.org, too. Or you can install eSteem on your mobile phone. DTube is used for video hosting and DSound is used for sound file hosting. Utopian is a service for open source software creators where the code is stored on the blockchain and where the creators get paid in STEEM and Steem Backed Dollars. You can also use Wordpress for blogging on Steem via the SteemPress plugin. I'm not even aware of everything there out there these days in addition to a large number of statistical and reporting apps that pull data from the blockchain.
