In Part 1 I spoke about how weight training influenced the development of my character greatly by allowing me to release stress and anger in the gym through weights and not building up the temper and letting it out for the wrong reason. It also helped shape my body up and has given me a greater excuse to eat more of what I like without having to worry too much about gaining a lot of weight (assuming my eating habits are good most of the time!).
In this section I will be speaking more about how weight training ha influenced the way I carry myself in public and how this connects to my confidence.
To understand Posture you have to understand the bodys mechanics and to do that you have to see how it all starts. From the very beginning of when a baby takes their first steps they at least try to stand up. When successful they will then go for step number 1 which often enough they end up losing balance and falling. My point is that to walk requires skill and to obtain that skill you are required to practice. Repetition builds up that ability to take that first step and second and third. Repetition also means helping the brain learn the rhythm and by that you control the muscle with that rhythm. Posture was exactly the same issue I have had. Playing Playstation and sitting with my head tilted forward in front of the computer for so many hours influenced my brain to think that this is my comfortable position and anything else is uncomfortable. That has affected the way I walked and stood.
Breaking that barrier of bad posture by getting used to what was uncomfortable (chest out and keeping head up) was one area that helped me walk more upright. Gym wise it was a lot of back exercises and workouts to strengthen my muscles so it pulls me back and helps my body become more comfortable in the new position. This actually took affect on my breathing since it opened up my lungs and helped me control how I spoke as well. While you walk you would have a slightly more confident attitude towards most things which I took great advantage of.

I like this topic. Everyone needs to learn from this, bad sitting and standing postures almost destroyed my looks and health. We must learn to sit right, walk right, stand right and even lay on the bed right. Its for our health's sake
Exactly, and it took me along time to get my body used to being more upright. The benefits I have mentioned in this article is only covering the surface compared to the details out there. But I will be slowly talking more and more about it these details in future articles :)
