I'm now home and back to the daily grind. Today was Namas-Monday with back day in the afternoon. I decided to start from SQUARE 1 this week. I'm going back to basics!
March of 2015, I started working with a coach to guide me through the process of becoming stage ready for my very first bodybuilding show. That's where I'm starting. I needed to tweak the calories a bit (I weigh more now and have more muscle than when I started).
I'm getting back into the hang of when and what to eat. I bring all my prepared food to work and eat throughout the day. Well because of yoga, I was off.
Meal 1 at home around 5:30am
3 egg whites, 2 eggs, spinach (need to heat up more tomorrow), 40g (dry) of oatmeal, and 2 oz of blueberries.Meal 2 at work around 9:30am
Protein shake with a mango (higher in sugar.. but with the core, I feel like I'm hardly getting anything lol)Meal 3 at work around 11:30am
4 oz cod (cooked with a little olive oil and salt), 3.5 oz steamed green beans and around 2oz brown riceWorked out at 1pm - back to basic back workout
Meal 4 at work around 2:30 (this will become Meal 5)
Protein shake and an orangeSo Meal 5 was supposed to be around 4:30pm... but I didn't want to eat that close to yoga..(this will become Meal 4)
Salad, 3 oz of chicken, cucumbers, white wine vinegar, garlic with a side of homemade baked sweet potato chips (they're soft :-( not super yummy like the crunchy ones)Yoga at 5:45pm
Actual Meal 5- 7pm I made the right choice. Had to get fast food at the train station so I found this at my gyms cafe actually.
So for now I'm only 5 meals in, way under my calorie intake so tomorrows arm workout might suck... but I'll get it right. These things take time if you want to create the habit. I'm figuring it out as I go even though I have a script. A lil improv never killed anyone.
Meal 6 at home 8:45pm
4 egg whites and 1 egg scrambled and 1 slice of ezekiel bread (might make an egg sandwich)
As always, water consumption is still high. Around 1.25 gallons per day...which was interesting today as the bathrooms at work are being remodeled so we have to go to another floor... lol been interesting.
What got you into bodybuilding in the first place?
Long version is here.
Shorter version is that I've always enjoyed it but never knew it was actually achievable for myself until my husband started working with a coach. And then spousal annoyance where he thought because he was a bodybuilder, meant he got to use the microwave before me once, I decided I was going to try it out too and be the bodybuilder too LOL
How's your mom?
