another astrophoto yaaaaay!
O(≧∇≦)O
this time, however, i tried a simpler approach compared my last week's astro postprocessing entry. I turned the person's pale yellow dress orange-ish then emphasized the milky way on the right just a tiny bit —to keep the person as still the main subject. last, i cropped the pix a little on its left side.

the original stunning shot is honestly fine the way it is.
so for this entry, i simply played with the colors a little and adjusted some tones.
yes, i have nothing much to say xD

for this pix, I went for my usual bright and clear approach, but later thought that i should try experimenting. My aim was to give it a rather gloomy look. Something like an "old" feel to it, old as the rocks below XD To my dismay, it occurred to me that there's hardly any change between the original and my edited version now that they're beside each other lol only that i cropped the pix because i find the leaves too distracting...

like the previous post processing pix i did, i wanted to try something different from what i usually do but this pix gave me a terrible headache! i've debated how to crop it: which elements must i keep. if i should emphasize the two people walking or focus on the lush pasture and the buildings instead —a border between nature and thriving society. well, why choose when you can have both? XD
my fixit friday thoughts
I'm grateful that the photo game stars provided the RAW file as I could play more with their pictures. Tho, it feels quite odd to edit other people's work...
Anyway, I'm taking the contest as an opportunity to challenge myself as postprocessing pix is something I'm quite indecisive about; usually, it takes me many tries, exploration and there are times I do not know at which point to stop —because we can create an interpretation of or enhance the photo in so many ways— that I usually end up making several versions. So a deadline is very helpful in this case and I'm looking at the contest as a form of creative exercise.

Great post! I liked your edit of my photo, @zirensparvg! :)
thanks @derekkind
for this week, i tried something different from what i usually do in all the photos
my usual vibrant and clear post processing...
one thing i wanna adapt from photographers i follow, even outside of this platform, is the mood they can create on their pix
so from now on, i will push my post processing skill :D
hopefully i will improve as the weeks pass by
(tho i prolly won't be able to participate in the following fixit friday and maybe another after that because i'll be preoccupied with some family matters...)
~
mii thanks you and other photo stars for providing us with creative exercises
^o^
Well, I'm glad you're using #FixItFriday to push your post-processing! I think editing other people's photos is a great way to do it, and I like what you said about recreating the mood from each photographer. :)
