Fasting has categories and which all believed must know and observe so that when they fast, answers will come speedily to their prayers (Daniel 6:18, Daniel 9:3).

“Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer, and come together again, that Satan tempt you for your incontinency” – 1 Corinthians 7:5.
Fasting is a prayer speed gear to chastened yourself and produce answers to your prayers which you are doing with one mind and pure heart. To fast you need to be ready because Holiness during fasting and after fasting is required especially when you are expecting answer. In other for the devil not to hijack your answer our need to remain Upright with God.
Fasting and Prayer is not an option for every believe but a must because the Bible says the weapon of our welfare are not carnal but mighty to the pulling down of stronghold and casting down all imagination etc.
However, to sharpen this weapon of our welfare, we need constant prayer and fasting in Holiness and righteousness.
The Necessities Of fasting
Fasting is very necessary for all believers that wants to be successful in all; however, the spiritual Christians must know how to fast (Isaiah 58:6). Here are the reasons for the necessity:
To be humbled: Many Christians of nowadays are not humble and broken enough, if they can give their lives to fasting and prayer, certainly the result of brokenness and humidity will show up (Luke 18:12) ready to adapt (Psalm 35:13).
To be more concentrated: As a Christian you need to be more spiritual every day because the anointing of yesterday night may not be enough for today. It helps to be concentrated spiritually (2 Corinthians 6:5).
To submit the flesh to the spirit: Chasten yourself with fasting helps to submit every work of the flesh in your life (Romans 8:3-5).
To burn every spiritual burden: Fasting helps us to get out of bondages. Especially, the joy will be there that God has answered your prayer.
To be alive in the spirit: This gear up the Holy Spirit to sprout more in all area of our life (Romans 8:14).
The Guidelines and type of fasting.
There are guideline and type of fasting: when you are fasting, let it be between you and God, except it’s co-operate fasting that comprises people together e.g. church community, pastors and family etc. (1 Corinthians 7:5).
Type of Fasting
Absolute fasting: This is the fasting you observed while taking water along in order to get strength (Matthew 4:1-2).
Total fasting: This is fasting that comes without anything refreshment, lo matter how long the days (Daniel 10:3-4)
Partial fasting: These fasting comes in various ways e.g. you can be eating fruit alone throughout your fasting or eating food that has no sugar, pepper, Salt, Palm oil, etc. These usual happen and end in a day, known as 6 to 6 fasting.

There is so much benefits of fasting,in which you have said in your post.it brings speedy answers. I just want to add that prayers should be done also during fasting so that you won't just be on hunger strike.You should also communicate with God with prayers during fasting.Nice piece.
