You couldn't see curvature if you were on a ball either. Think about it: If you were an ant on a basketball, you would be in the exact center of the surface that ball. The "horizon" would be equal (and flat) all around you. Only if you were on a cylinder could you see a curve.
The biggest reason I am convinced that the earth is flat, is the lengths the powers that be will go to try to convince me it's a ball. Plus, water is always level. How can it curve around a ball? Where does the water curve?
I think the Earth is a globe because everything I see in the sky looks that way. I don't get too deep on the shape of the Earth. There are a lot of things people believe based on things they don't understand. A person believing in something without the proper knowledge to back up those beliefs is not necessarily to say that person's belief is false, in my humble opinion.
