So we had some serious flooding this weekend in New Orleans. They are reporting 8-10 inches of rain in around 4 hours. Lots of damage to businesses, cars, and homes. I was stuck on an interstate exit ramp for 2.5 hours. Ended up watching movie in my car with a friend. Here is a video that shows just how bad it was.
I did not have any damage, but pray for New Orleans. If you did not know we are actually below sea level and require the use of pumps to get water out. If this says anything of our improvements since Hurricane Katrina, we have a long way to go.
They should be very careful over there because of the history of hurricanes that is very destructive. One could relocate to other areas but sometimes it is hard to leave your hometown where everyone knows you, you have a relative from, or gone accustomed with.
So sad to see all this hope everyone is safe and all animals, take care all.
Oh man, to be honest I thought this said New Orleans food and it was you doing a food post like we talked about. But this is a huge bummer. I hope all is well for you. Praying.
OMG, New Orleans is always flooding. But a wonderful city nonetheless.
surprising! May God preserve them and give their rulers wisdom to make an improvement to their city!
