Pakistan being an independent state has its own several and unique national symbols which demonstrate the national uniqueness. The symbols are either being associated due to any significant historical Places event or occasion or for any other critical importance of that particular element in that country.

The national flower of the country is Jasmine or Chambeli, which is called the national flower of Pakistan. It is famous for its scent. It is also known as poet's jasmine or jessamine. It is in the family Oleaceae.

*For thousands of years, the jasmine has been cultivated not only for the beauty of its small, white, star-like flowers, but also for its intoxicating scent.

It is native to the foothills of the Western Himalayas and the Indus Valley plains of the Pakistani Punjab. The plant was cultivated and brought to the rest of the Indian subcontinent, China, the Middle East and other regions of Asia. From there, it spread into France, Italy and the Mediterranean, and eventually it was introduced to the rest of Western Europe and Britain. Today, jasmine is grown and cultivated all over the world in its many varieties.*

Chambeli is a very gorgeous delicate tiny flower that has white and yellow colors. It grows in clusters in shrubs. It has sparkling leaves and graceful beautiful fragrance. Chambeli blooms in summer season and needs abundance of water, manure and sunshine to flourish.

Chamebli is quite common all over Pakistan. Chambeli also has been the central subject of poetry and been described as a symbol of beauty and purity in poetic verses and works.
It also provides the aesthetic adorning to the landscape.
