Eastern Red Columbine
This is the Aquilegia canadensis and they are native to the eastern United States. They bloom in the late spring and the red and yellow flowers are approximately 1.5 inchs long. I love they way they dangle on their long stems and so do hummingbirds.
Parts of columbine plants were used to treat ailments by Native Americans which include: headaches, fever, bladder problems, kidney problems and heart trouble.
Thanks for looking!

I remember having those and the blue ones in our garden when I was a kid :) Always likes them!
Lucky you! I sure wish spring flowers like these lasted longer. Thanks for stopping by! : )
